WE have arrived

Bienvenidos a Panama! We we’ve arrived here in Panama and the best way to describe it is that its been a whirlwind. After a 17 hour trip down from Toronto (flight delays) we arrived to a welcoming bunch of excited and tired Panamanians. Finally getting to our hotel at 4 am, the next day was spent sleeping in, and then relocating to a different hotel where we have been staying the week.

Sunday we went to a couple churches, Crossroads (English speaking) in the morning and then Cruzadia Estudantyl (Spanish, where most of the CCC people go) in the evening. On Monday began the apartment hunting, which has consumed (along with a few meetings) the majority of our time as we look for a place to live for the year. To both ours and the Panamanians amazment, there seems to be a severe shortage of apartments. However we know God has a place for us and are resting in the fact that He has something somewhere in this city.

In the midst of all the crazy activity we have also been reminded of the reason we are here. This week was the 41st anniversary of CCC in Panama, and the Central American regional director was in town to 'cast vision'. It was great to hear and really lined up exactly with what we had in mind. So once this apartment hunt is done.....off to the campus.
