Buenas Dias
Well first of all a little administrative detail. As of now anyone can comment on the blog posts...so feel free to comment.
Well really that was the reason I started this post, but I guess I'll fill you in a bit with my life. This past weekend I went to a youth retreat with 'Crossfire' (The youth ministry at Crossroads Bible Church where I am a small group leader of Gr. 9 boys). Leading up to event, Mark (the youth pastor) kept on saying 'Guys, I just know this is going to be the best retreat ever.' All I can say is that he was right - it was an absolutely amazing time. Besides all the fun activities, there were amazing times of praise and worship and great small group discussions. Part of my role, aside from leading my small group was being a part of a drama where I got to play Jesus (hopefully I can get a link so you can watch the video). Saturday night was amazing as we had a chance to deal with wounds in our past. All I can say is I never believed I would be with a bunch of 15 year old guys balling their eyes out as they let Jesus heal things from their past and then praying for each other. We finished the night off with a couple hours of praise and worship and then some nightball....
Coming back from the youth reatreat, I was reminded how much I love working with youth (Man I miss the Parkcrest Young People's Youth Group), and began wondering why am I doing university ministry. Today reminded me as we had our staff meeting in the morning and talked about where we were and what the vision for the campus was...man that got me excited. In the afternoon I had a meeting with someone who accepted Christ two weeks ago (Natalie) as we talked it gave me such joy as she told me she now knew '100%' that she was going to heaven, and now that she had a real faith in her life she wanted to get involved in a bible study and learn more.
So thats all for now. Right now I am enjoying some Ngobe coffee, which tastes fantastic after a week without it....
God bless you
