Well I am back from my trip up to David. It was a really good time up there. We met the people involved with Campus for Christ up there, toured the university campuses and even had a chance to finish up my Christmas shopping. The people up there were super friendly and I am excited about going back sometime. The weather up there was very nice. One day we went to a town called Boquete in the mountains and it was darn right cold.
As promised, I have some more photos of the people who have been keeping me from you.
These adorable children are Embera natives from the Parara Puru tribe. Last week, Tricia, Sarah and I were invited by two of the girls involved with Vida Estudiantil at Interamericana (Zuly and Andrea) to go with their class on a trip up the river to visit the tribe. It was a great day to see the natural beauty, see a different culture and connect with the students.
Here are some of the guys from Vida Estudiantil at the national campus. This picture was taken in my english class, where we offer the students a place to learn and practice their english conversational skills.
This is the imposing front of the Law Faculty. It is here and the Architecture faculty where I spend most of my time at the university, meeting and talking with students.
This is probably the thing that keeps me away from you most. Here in this picture is my friend Diego, who is in my Bible Study. I love to just hang out with the students I know, and while doing this I am able to meet their friends and connect and share with them. This also allows the students to start sharing their faith with their friends.
So there you have it dear blog. I hope that our relationship is better now and that we can continue to keep things out in the open. I should be around this week to let you know what is going on. Also the university is finished, with all the students in final exams. Hopefully that means I have more time to talk with you, but I also have lots of meetings and also a friend from Canada coming.
Take Care,
Steve
