Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to me!! Its interesting how the years come and go. I was reminiscing with a friend today and it was almost 3 years ago since I first came to Panama...how the time passes. Really there has been nothing singificant about this birthday (as opposed to last year, the big two-five). However one thing that is true is that God has been faithful. I've been reading through Jerimiah and today I came across this verse: Jeremiah 31:17 "There is hope in your future..." I was simiply comforted by reading this knowing that there is a hope for my future and that hope is in Christ...its for this hope that I'm in Panama, and I had the chance to share that last night.

In celebration of my birthday we held a 'Dinner for friends' last night. A couple of the students involved with Vida Estudiantil from Interamericana invited their friends over to the girls for a birthday dinner for me. 10 of us enjoyed a relaxed time and some amazing cooking by Lindsey. Before cake, I took the opportunity to share with the students why I was in Panama - which gave me the chance to share my testimony with them.

After my testimony, Gabby also added a bit of her story and we had a short conversation with the students about being a Christian. Our prayer is that the seed that was planted will grow in their hearts.

Well off to enjoy my birthday celebrations.
