The best way to describe the past couple weeks is that its been full of growing pains. As this is the first team that's been sent to Panama, most of our pre-trip advice consisted of 'We'll figure it out when you get there...' and well, thats exactly what we've been doing. Our general day consists of waking up and running around looking for apartments....electricity for the apartments....visas... etc... and generally going with the flow and figuring things out as they come.
Concerning visas, please pray for our team that we will be able to get all the documentation needed to extend our visas for a year. There are quite a few requirments and documents (including some from Canada that need to go through the Embassy in Ottawa) that we need (again one of those growing pains).
As we experience frustrations, tiredeness, joy (looks like we'll have a place to live tomorrow) and, well, growing pains this passage keeps on popping up....
Phillipans 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious in nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Sometimes its tough, in the midst of things going on (or not going on), here, at home and everywhere, to simply rejoice in the Lord, always...whenever, wherever, for whatever reason, however...just rejoice....always....
