Hello all
Panamanian lesson for the day:
When typing, a panamanian will write a 'laugh' like so, 'jajajaja' as opposed to 'hahahaha' since in spanish, the 'J' is pronounced as 'H'
Well as I was thinking about what I would post on this update I realized one thing...generally I only post good news for you guys. So just so you know, not everything is always rosy down here in Panama (although generally we are so thankful to God for the life He has given us down here). One of the main prayer requests is for relationships, both within the team and also between us and the Panamanians.
As a team, living, working, breathing and eating together there are always bound to be tensions, differences in thought, opinion and the like that come up. Please pray that as we work together that we would continually deal with these.
With Panamanians we contunually have to be aware of some cultural differences...especially when it comes to the opposite sex.
That being said, there is good news.
This week we had 'days of evangelism' - a specific outreach in which we pushed the Panamanian students to get out sharing the gospel along side of us. Honestly today coming home I was so excited thinking about how many students went out this week for the first time to share the gospel....and the excitment on their faces coming back from the experience, some of them seeing people pray to receive Christ. Really this is what my purpose down here in Panama is: to train and equip these students so they can share their faith, teach others to do likewise and carry on a movement on their own.
So continue to pray for us...both for the work that God is doing down here but also for the work He is doing in us.
