Plans

Dear Blog,

I was reading my devotional book a few days ago and came across this: "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs His steps.' - Proverbs 16:9 Later that day my friend Bryan randomly e-mailed me and included the verse - Proverbs 16:9. I find it funny how God has figured out I'm dense enough that he needs to tell me at least twice before I listen up.

So this week my prayer has been that although I am planning out my ways for the day (and future) that God would direct my steps and I would be willing to following and adapt to where he puts me.

This morning I headed to campus with Jessica...late. We had planned on going sharing together but after her registering for classes in the morning by the time we got to campus she had to go to her Bible study. No problem thought I, because while she was going to have her Bible Study I had scheduled to go out sharing with Lorenzo, one of the students involved with Vida Estudiantil. I met up with him at a prayer meeting and at the end he said that he had an appointment with another staff member (Secundina), and if we could go out sometime next week. All this took place at an open air theatre where we often meet up with students. Now while we had been finishing up our prayer meeting, Jessica had been sitting on the stage, with Secundina, waiting for some girls to show up to her Bible study. Instead of a Bible study showing up, a birthday party did. A group of a dozen or so first year students had come with a cake and were just hanging out and eating. Secundina started talking to them and soon after called Lorenzo, Jon and I down to talk with them. In the end Jessica, Lorenzo and myself (along with a Jon, Secundina and Elaine) had the opportunity to share the Gospel with a dozen students in one place and see some of the pray to receive Christ!!!

It was so cool to see God direct my steps in that way. I had planned on going out sharing in my way....but God directed my steps to share His love in His way to people He had already chosen.

Until next time.

Just a random picture of me enjoying the love of my life...MALTA!!

Hey Steve,

In that picture, are you saying that Malta is #1, or are you pointing to God saying, God provides us with Malta... or are you holding your head up with your finger to prevent it from falling off (perhaps a side effect of Malta)?

Just curious.

Hi Bryan,

Since I am a missionary I guess it has to be that I am pointing to God saying He provides us with Malta....
