Preaching and prolonging...

Dear Blog

Today I hit a kinda personal milestone in that I was able to preach in Spanish!! A friend of mine, Ezekiel had asked us if we would talk at his church's young adults meeting on Saturday night and I had the privilege of sharing with them a bit about Vida Estudiantil as well as the Biblical basis for us to WIN, BUILD and SEND. It was a great experience for me, and although I know my spanish is far from perfect I really enjoyed the challenge. (Also I believe that the talk went well in terms of communicating from God's Word...)

I really feel that my Spanish has taken some big steps forward in the past month or so. I made a really concerted effort to talk as much as I could and learn. This included starting to meet up once a week with my friend Andrea for help with grammar, pronunciation, reading and listening skills. At the time I half questioned if it was worth studying grammar again if I was going to leave in a couple months. But this brings me to my next point.....

...I am staying down in Panama for another year!! It's now official that I have been accepted for another year of Stint down here in Panama. After a drawn out decision making process I felt peace about coming back for another year to continue the ministry that I am apart of down here. I look forward to the new challenges, opportunities, ups and downs and essentially another year of life down here.

Until next time...
