Dear Blog
So today I got to the university after getting out of immigration 'early' (Since immigration lost my papers, I was in and out with another temporary visa in a few minutes while the others where waiting on their year long visas). Getting out early meant I was able to get to my noon Bible study. As I sat there, Alexis and Roberto, two guys I met through our English class, walked up. The week before they had come to our weekly meeting and Alexis told me it was the first time he had ever heard anyone read the Bible in his life, I had shared the gospel with him and he was clear that he needed God but did not have him however said he needed more time to think about the decision.
As they sat down we talked about life for a few minutes and then I began the study. I decided to go over the Gospel with them using the 4 Spiritual laws. As we started this, 2 of their friends, Nimble and Ginny came up and joined us. As we went through they were all fully intent on understanding God's plan, especially Alexis who asked question after question after question. After covering the Gospel, Alexis stopped me and asked the others 'Who wants to become a Christian right now?' They all smiled and one by one said 'Yo (Me)'. Turning to me, Alexis said 'I know God knows our hearts and thats what matters, but could you lead us through a prayer?' I did and each one of them individually received Christ into their hearts.
We talked for the next 30-40 minutes about security of Salvation, what comes next in the Christian life as well as some more of God's promises as to what happens to us when we receive Christ. It was by far the best Bible study ever.
