Dear Blog
May is here and that means summer project! Last week a group of 20 students and staff came down from Canada for a 6 week missions trip here in Panama. They have come to help us work on the University campuses for the month of May, and then in June we will be heading out with them into the Interior on the adventure cycle, where we will be working with poor families in the day and putting on Gospel presentations during the evenings.
After spending last week training and orienting the Canadians, today we heading out on Campus with them. It was exciting to be walking around the campus today sharing with one of the Canadians Kaitlyn (it was her first time sharing the Gospel with strangers). As I walked around several other groups of Canadians passed by also sharing on the campus. I am excited because as I look at our current student ministry, many of our current leaders were raised up through summer projects.
For the next 4 weeks I will be working alongside Sarah in the Law and Architecture faculties. Our team consists of Andres, David, Kaitlyn, Marie (All from Ontario) and Eliane (From Montreal).
It is really exciting for me to be leading a summer project, as we not only get to see Panamanians have their lives changed, but also the Canadian students (This is the first missions trip for everyone of the students who have come down). So please pray for fruit both in the Panamanians and Canadians lives'.
