Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
A thought struck me as I was praying the other day for our team and our effectiveness in evangelism: My quiet time is an essential part of evangelism. Jesus' words that we will not bear fruit unless we are abiding Him are ever true. Often times I feel that I need to be getting out there and working, whereas I believe often times it really should be the opposite, I need to be staying back, abiding and then heading out.
On another note, Lindsey had her birthday this past weekend, here are a couple of pictures from the weekend....

We celebrated Lindsey's actual birthday at the Santana's house so we could be with a bed-ridden Juan. Unfortunately Karina wasn't here for the picture...
