Dear Blog
Mark 4:26-29
And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.
Wednesday night when I arrived at Crossfire, one of the leaders, Josue, came up to me and said "Steve, you made a huge impact on my friend's life two years ago." Intrigued I asked him what he meant. He told me that two years ago, when I came to Panama the first time, I had been able to give a talk to a class at the University of Panama. One of the students in that class, Juan, listened intently and was impacted by the Holy Spirit. Fast forward two years and Juan went to talk to his Christian friend Josue. God had continued to work in Juan's life and a couple of weeks ago Juan began talking to Josue, telling him the story of a classroom talk two years ago. That night Juan accepted Christ into his life!
I was really encouraged and humbled by this story. So encouraged to see how powerful God is and how he is working in so many different ways. I was humbled to know that all I can do is serve Him, the harvest truly comes from Christ.
Sometimes as I go about the University sharing the Gospel or talking to students and don't see immediate fruits I wonder what's going on. But God knows all I have to do is keep on sowing the seed and be ready to put the sickle to the harvest.
Love,
Steve

nice! very encouraging to hear
So true, we have the potential to impact for good or sometimes, for bad. We need to be aware that in all we do, by word or deed, we are an example.
