This past week I've really reflected on how much God blesses me in my life. Last Friday, Steve and Robyn Strongitharm and kids came down to visit us on a Shepherding Trip. Steve and Robyn were my leaders in 2006 when I first came to Panama for 2 months. Jessica (from my team last year) also came as part of the trip. I was really just thankful for the relationships I have in my life. I never really thought that I would see Steve and Robyn again. Last time I saw them Robyn was pregnant...now they have 2 kids!! We spent most of the week in El Valle. As well as being a relaxing time Steve really led us through some insightful devotional times as well as helping us look ahead and plan for next year. (Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera...but hopefully I will be able to steal some pictures soon...) Overall it was a really encouraging time for us to spend as a team and with them. Our devotions focused on John 13-15 where Jesus repeatedly tries to focus the disciples attention to the issues that really matter...abiding in Him, loving as He loves, serving as He serves..
Yesterday I was able to be a tourist in my own country. As a team + Jess we rented a van and drove to the other side of Panama to visit some Spanish ruins. It was truly a beautiful day. On the drive back (oh how I miss driving!!) I reflected again on how God blesses us. I didn't come to Panama to see these things, but God had them in store for me....
The next couple of days will be busy as we head up to Santiago to visit/encourage the ministry up there. That is followed by coming back down to Panama for a few days of year end dinners etc... to wrap up the year.
Take a look at my Calendar...

Due to the humidity/heat down here in Panama the Advent Calendar is quite a challenge. Most of the chocolates don't come out as they are slightly melted/stuck to the plastic....
Until next time...
Steve
Enjoy some pictures...hopefully they will warm you up...

The view as I ate dinner last night...
