Back!

Dear Blog

Welcome back! After a few weeks of travels and holidays I am back home in Panama City, ready to begin the new semester. This morning we met up as a team and had a little time to refocus on the work on campus as well as share about our holidays. Among the sharing we asked the question "What did God teach/show you during your holidays?" It was encouraging to hear how God had directed our thoughts over the past few weeks. One thing God showed me was having a heart of voluntary service towards him. I was especially challenged by this since over holidays I didn't have scheduled times to share my faith or of ministry. However as I went around I really felt burdened to pray for the people I came in contact with...hostels owners, boat drivers, passengers beside me on the bus etc... I also had the chance to share with several people what I do...often times leading to interesting conversations. One of these people I talked to was Paul, who lives in Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica.

Paul had originally moved to Costa Rica with his wife as missionaries. After completing their mission they felt led by the Lord to stay in the town and set up an Organic Coffee and Chocolate shop in town and remain as the 'salt and light' of Jesus in the town. It was super encouraging to talk to Paul and hear his heart for the town, and most of all knowing that God was there working among those people. Check them out at www.caribeanscoffee.com and take my word, it is some amazing coffee!!

Anyways, after a few weeks of campus we all look forward to getting back in the mix of things tomorrow as we head to campus.

Here are some pics from my holidays!
